Chocolate chip/chunk cookies

These are the easiest cookies I have ever made, and are most probably the most delicious too. They make about 10 cookies, and are quite big! This is my new go to recipe for a cosy snack.

Recipe:

- 64g of melted butter

- 160g of sugar

- 1 egg

- 5g of vanilla essence/extract (optional)

- 160g of all-purpose flour

- 1/2 a tsp of baking soda

- 55g of dark chocolate chunks

- Large dark chocolate chunks to put on top of cookies (optional)

Method:

1. Mix the melted butter and sugar in a bowl until combined (should look a bit like very wet sand).

2. Add in the egg and vanilla essence/extract, stir until smooth.

3. Sift your flour and baking soda into the bowl. Fold in gently. Take care not to overmix, or else that could result to flat cookies.

4. Fold in the chocolate chunks.

5. Cover and chill the dough in the fridge for at least 15-20 min. Preheat the oven to 180˚C.

6. Using an ice-cream scoop, scoop mounds of dough onto a baking sheet. Make sure to leave at least 2 inches between each cookie. You can add the extra chunks of chocolate on the top of the cookie.

7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or when the bottom edges of the cookies are slightly brown.

8. Let them cool, or else they'll fall apart. You can still eat them warm, though, because they will have hardened.

9. Enjoy! (I dipped them in milk, but you can do whatever you want.)

I made ten cookies, but the first 4 disappeared so quickly I didn't have time to take a picture.
